Get a pen and a piece of paper and make a list of all your relationships, Family, friends, Loved ones, work relationships and so on.
Now add four categories:
Relationships I am satisfied with.
Relationships I can improve in.
Relationships I should Toss in the Bin.
Relationships I don't Know what to do with.
Sort through to see how you feel about your relationships in each category remember we can do our own part and we cannot in any way control other people in our relationships.
A great marker in any relationship is how it makes you feel, do you find yourself feeling Good more of the time or Bad more of the time in this relationship.
Ask yourself:
Does the Relationship Empower you
Do you find fulfillment in the Relationship
Is the relationship Reciprocal
Does the relationship allow you to be as you are
Is there flexibility within the relationship
Is there respect in the relationship
Is there Trust in the relationship
Add anything else that seems important to you now you are focusing on this.
Spend some time Journaling about what improvements you can make in your top two categories and decide on your next steps for the bottom two categories.
Reasons to keep a relationship going stem from feelings that make you feel great.
Reasons to continue a relationship rarely work out when they stem from feelings that begin with you feeling bad.
